- Spring is rapidly approaching and that means it is soon time again for the co-sponsored Schuylkill Valley EMS and Leesport Fire Department Easter Egg Hunt. The egg hunt will be held on the grounds behind the Leesport Fire Department on Wall Street in Leesport. Tha date for the event is Saturday April 7, 2012 and the time is 1:00PM sharp. SVEMS FIGHT TO END BREAST CANCER

- This Year Schuylkill Valley EMS will be raising funds in an effort to Support one of our members in a three day walk for a cure this fall. Amanda Bobella will be walking 60 Miles over three days to raise money for a cure for Breast Cancer. We are asking the support of our members as well as our community in ending this horrible disease. TEXTING WHILE DRIVING LAW

- In November 2011, Gov. Corbett signed S.B. 314 into law, which makes texting while driving a primary offense. Pennsylvania is the 35th state to ban texting while driving for all drivers.
